We’re looking for

Business Intelligence Engineer 

Location: Hanoi

  • 2 – 4 years of experience in Data Engineering, BI, Data Analytics, or a related role.
  • Experience in the mobile game, mobile app, or digital product industry is a strong plus.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with hands-on experience using Pandas or equivalent data processing libraries.
  • Experience with at least one BI/visualization platform, such as Power BI, Looker Studio, Tableau, or Metabase.
  • Basic understanding of server and cloud infrastructure, with experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure being a plus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, data pipeline monitoring, or infrastructure automation is an advantage.
  • A solid foundation or strong interest in AI/ML. Experience with LLM APIs, predictive models, AI automation, or AI-related PoCs is a strong plus.
  • Understanding of mobile game and UA metrics such as ROAS, LTV, Retention, CPI, and ARPDAU is highly valued.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a systematic and data-driven mindset.
  • Proactive and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, lean studio environment.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

What you will be doing

 1. Data & Business Intelligence:

  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines (ETL/ELT) from multiple sources, including AppsFlyer, Firebase, game server logs, ad networks, App Store, and Google Play.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize BI dashboards using tools such as Looker Studio, Power BI, Metabase, or custom solutions to support UA, Product, and LiveOps teams.
  • Define and standardize key mobile game metrics, including ROAS, LTV, D1/D7/D28 Retention, ARPDAU, CPI, and Cohort Analysis.
  • Develop automated daily and weekly reporting systems to provide timely and reliable data for business and game teams.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
  1. Data Infrastructure & Operations:
  • Manage and maintain servers and databases supporting game data storage and processing, including SQL/NoSQL databases and cloud infrastructure.
  • Monitor data pipelines and ensure data availability, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Optimize data processing and infrastructure costs as the data ecosystem scales.
  • Implement backup, monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms to minimize operational risks.
  • Contribute to improving data workflows, deployment processes, and CI/CD practices.
  1. AI & Data Innovation:
  • Research and experiment with AI/ML solutions that can create value across our games and business, such as:
  • Churn and LTV prediction
  • UA bidding and campaign optimization
  • Player segmentation and personalization
  • Content and offer recommendation
  • AI-assisted creative or level design workflows
  • Evaluate and recommend suitable AI tools, APIs, and technologies based on business needs and feasibility.
  • Build prototypes and Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to validate AI ideas before wider implementation.
  • Explore opportunities to automate repetitive data and operational workflows with AI.
